Eric's Fight Short Sleeve T-Shirt

In January 2024, Eric was diagnosed with colon cancer following a routine screening. That same week he underwent surgery to have a portion of his colon removed. In March that same year, Eric started receiving chemotherapy treatments at Nebraska Cancer Associates in Omaha. He completed his first series of chemotherapy treatments in August 2024.

This June, Eric underwent a PET scan that showed areas of concern in his liver and kidneys. Eric’s colon cancer had spread to his liver and kidney. These tumors were removed in August at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Eric will undergo another series of chemotherapy treatments starting in September.

Eric, a Westwood graduate (Class of 1991), is a lifelong resident of Salix and Sloan. He is employed at Steinhoff Landscape and Construction. His wife Victoria is the director at the Sloan Public Library. Eric and Victoria have two sons, Kyle (student at WITCC) and Benjamin (6th grade Westwood).
